Guitar Tech Academy – Clearwater
Learn Professional Guitar Repair — Hands-On in a Real Shop
Turn your passion for guitars into real, professional skills.
At Guitar Tech Academy in Clearwater, Florida, you train inside Hank’s Guitar Shop, a 5-star, working repair shop serving customers across the Tampa Bay area. Instead of practicing on kits or classroom projects, students learn by working on real instruments brought in by actual customers.
Our program is designed for people who want to learn the skills professional guitar technicians use every day—whether your goal is to work in a shop, open your own repair business, or develop a valuable side income.
Why Train at Guitar Tech Academy?
Real Shop Experience
You’ll train in a working repair environment, learning the same processes professional techs use every day. Students see real problems, real guitars, and real repair workflows.

Each training session is limited to just four students, ensuring plenty of hands-on bench time and direct instruction.
Learn from Working Professionals
Our instructors are full-time repair technicians who perform setups, fretwork, and electronics repair for paying customers every day.
Located in Clearwater, Florida
Training takes place inside Hank’s Guitar Shop, conveniently located near Tampa and St. Petersburg and easily accessible from anywhere in the region.
