2. We Pick Up Your Instrument
A Hank’s Guitar Shop team member arrives during your scheduled route window and transports your instrument directly back to our shop.
We strongly recommend using:
- a hard case
OR - a gig bag
Instruments are transported in an air-conditioned vehicle and protected from excessive heat and direct sunlight whenever possible.
3. We Evaluate Your Guitar
Once your instrument arrives at our shop, we inspect and evaluate it.
We then contact you with:
- repair recommendations
- pricing
- available options
- estimated turnaround time
You decide what work you would like completed.
4. Approve Your Repair
We never perform major repair work without approval.
If approved repair or setup charges exceed $125, your original pickup fee may be credited toward your repair bill.
5. Pickup or Delivery
When your instrument is complete, you may:
- pick it up at our Clearwater shop
OR - schedule return delivery back to your location

Your guitar tech is the person coming to pick up your guitar! He knows what questions to ask; how to care for valuable instruments; and how to troubleshoot and resolve problems.

Can I get FREE Pickup Service?
Pickup and delivery service is:
- $25 for pickup (or free*)
- $25 for delivery
- $0 if you pickup at our store
Pickup fees are prepaid when scheduling. *If approved repair service or setup work totals $125 or more, the pickup fee will be credited toward the repair invoice.
Can I send more than one guitar?
Absolutely.
Only one pickup fee and one delivery fee apply per trip, so sending multiple instruments can save you money.
Many customers use the service to:
- service multiple guitars at once
- restring neglected instruments
- fix electronics issues
- finally address long-postponed repairs
What If I Decline Repairs
If repair work is declined after evaluation but before any approved work began, no service charges apply.
If some work had been approved before work is stopped, any work already performed will be charged.
What If I Miss My Pickup Window?
If not cancelled before 8:30am on the day of scheduled pickup or delivery, the $25 fee is forfeited.
