Description
This is a vintage 1974 Yamaha FG160 dreadnought acoustic guitar, finished in a classic natural gloss. Known for their exceptional build quality and rich, balanced tone, these older Yamaha FG models have developed a strong reputation among players and collectors alike.
The FG160 features a dreadnought body shape with a spruce top and mahogany back and sides, offering warm lows, clear mids, and bright highs. Over the years, the wood has aged beautifully, giving the guitar a resonant, well-rounded tone that only comes with time. The mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard provide smooth playability for fingerstyle playing.
This guitar is in good condition for its age, with some expected cosmetic wear like light scratches and small dings, but no cracks or structural issues. It is fully functional but with action set a bit high, for finger-style playing.
We would normally set this up for the average player but we’re so busy with customer guitars (and sales have been crazy, too) so we’ve decided to sell some guitars without doing much more than new strings and a polish. Price reduced substantially but, sorry, no warranty.
This is great opportunity to own a true vintage Yamaha with great sound and tons of character!
