Description
Complete Refret Service
For unfinished fretboards with binding.
A complete refret involves the removal of all existing frets and the installation of new, precision-fit frets across the entire fingerboard. This service restores proper playability, intonation, and feel to guitars with heavily worn, uneven, or damaged frets.
Each refret includes:
-
Careful removal of old frets to minimize fingerboard damage
-
Fingerboard inspection and preparation
-
Installation of new frets, properly seated and secured
-
Full fret leveling, crowning, and polishing for smooth, accurate playability
Refrets are recommended when fret wear is too deep for leveling and crowning alone, or when fret height has fallen below safe minimums. Wood type, finish, binding, and fret material can affect labor and pricing.
Note: Nut work, setups, finish touch-ups, or fingerboard repairs are not included unless quoted separately.
