This vintage 1966 Goya G-10 Classical Acoustic Guitar is a fine example of mid-century Swedish craftsmanship. Made in Sweden with Serial Number 302058, the G-10 features solid wood construction and delivers a warm, resonant tone with excellent projection, making it ideal for classical and fingerstyle playing.
It has a spruce top with solid birch back & sides and a rosewood bridge and fretboard. The scale is 24 3/4 inches and the nut is 2 inches.
The manufacturer (Levin) was noted for using a clear nitrocellulose lacquer finish which caused their guitars to crackle over the years. This guitar does show some natural crackling that adds to its charm without affecting tone or playability. The body is outlined with elegant black binding, giving it a refined, understated look. The mahogany neck is comfortable and responsive, offering smooth playability across the entire fingerboard. Goya’s have an aluminum reinforced neck which allows the neck to be a bit thinner.
In very good condition for its age, this instrument has been well cared for and remains structurally sound. It shows minor cosmetic wear consistent with its vintage status but retains its original appeal and strong tonal presence. It has received a professional setup (including a neck re-set) by Hank’s Guitar Shop in Clearwater and has a 90-day warranty.
