This is a thin-bodied guitar with an electric guitar neck and electric guitar strings. If you are primarily an electric player looking for acoustic sounds, this might be the right guitar for you.
Unplugged, it sounds thin and quiet due to the physics of what it is. Plugged in, it produces excellent piezo sounds along with the sound of what I would call a jazz style humbucker (clean, clear, uncompressed).
You can use either of these sounds alone or blend them together for some tasty sounds a la Sudowsky. My particular use case is recording, where I apply an acoustic guitar impulse response to the piezo pickup, which produces a very convincing mic’d acoustic guitar sound.
Anyway… Play-ability is excellent, fit and finish are perfect. There is nothing to dislike and everything to like.
