Description
The Carlo Robelli Model 550 is a step-up from laminated student basses and features a hybrid construction consisting of a fully-carved, solid spruce top with a laminated maple back and sides, offering the durability of laminate with the greatly improved acoustic response of the solid top.
This bass is equipped with an ebony fingerboard, nut, and saddle, inlaid purfling, and a height-adjustable bridge.
Note: The neck on this bass had been broken during shipping before our purchase from Sam Ash. (See images.) This has been professionally repaired but is still cosmetically visable. The repair does not affect playability but the price has been significantly reduced as a result. We are currently using it as a display item.
