Group beginner guitar lessons are based on the book, “Play Guitar Now!“, by Hank Castello, available on Amazon and in our store.
Book a Class
These are group beginner guitar lessons, designed to teach accompiament guitar playing, also known as rythmn guitar and campfire-style guitar playing, where you learn to strum rythmnic chords as background to a singer or lead guitar player.
Classes are $10 and held every Tuesday from 6pm to 7pm. Lessons teach the basics of holding a guitar and strumming and three easy chords that comprise the I-IV-V chord sequence in C opening the door to thousands of wonderful songs you’ll be playing!
You will need to practice each day at home.
Everyone learns at their own pace. Some will be ready to move on to a new chord by the second Tuesday. Others may spend several weeks working on the first chord. It’s all good!
If you only have an acoustic guitar, please leave it at home and we’ll lend you an electric for the class. It plays exactly like your acoustic (but a little easier on your fingers!) but quieter (not plugged in) so we don’t have chaos during class! 🙂
Please book classes online because we can only accept eight students per class, so those expecting to pay at the door may have to be turned away.
You will be expected to practice for the rest of the week and be a Super Rock Star by the next Tuesday class! (jk)
We’d like to extend a big welcome to our new instructor, Chris. Check him out on our Player Spotlight video.
